Thank Heaven For Little Girls!

After my fifth Zumba class in four days, I deserved another sushi lunch, if I do say so!  So, I was really thankful to have the company of my sister, best friend, Elaine, and her daughter, Hannah for a sushi extravaganza.  Once again, it was delicious food and great company.  I just love my girl time.

After lunch, we went to Ulta to pick out some nail polish.  I treated myself to a mini/pedi earlier this week before parent conferences, and the color was starting to chip.  No worries, though, I am now supplied with my very own bottle of "Lincoln Park After Dark Suede" (as well as some other colors... I can't help it.  I'm a sucker for a good sale.) and my touch ups have been applied.

Hannah may just be my number one fan in life.  No one gets quite as excited to see me, and she makes my heart melt every time.  She's the only human I've ever seen break into a full body shake with anticipation when I walk through the door... it's so stinking cute!  After shopping, she decided that she wanted to come home with me for a little while, and I was happy to give Elaine a little "me time" and entertain the little princess.

We rocked out to some tunes in the car, played with the dogs, ate a snack, pulled out nearly every toy in the toy box (where she gravitated toward my old pom pons from my cheerleading days... a girl after my own heart), sand some American Idol karaoke, played in the massage chair, and enjoyed a manicure and makeover (which she couldn't wait to show off to everyone in the house).  It was a full afternoon, and I loved every minute.  It's so cute to see the world through the eyes of a four year old - especially when they are someplace new.  Everything is fun and exciting... it's so fun to watch!

As if my day wasn't great enough, I was also invited to a game night.  We had some yummy snacks, delicious wine, and tons of laughter.  Let me tell you, you haven't played charades until you've played with this group!  I nearly peed my pants several times from laughing so hard.

I wish every Saturday could be this fun!  I am so thankful for my awesome friends (and sister)!
