More Zumba Love

Today, I was reminded how thankful I am for Zumba.  Before I started, I had absolutely no desire to ever work out... ever!  And even though there are days I'd rather stay home on the comfy couch after a long day of work, I'm always glad I pushed myself to go. 

It's been three and a half months now since I started, and I'm still going strong.  I feel better both emotionally and physically, I am healthier, it has motivated me to eat better, and I feel better about myself.  I'd say that's motivation to continue going, huh? 

I'm so glad to have found something that works for me.  Something that's fun and doesn't feel like "working out" in my book.  Something I know I can stick to.

I also need to give a shout out to my instructor, Tom, who has been an amazing inspiration.  It's so awesome to see how he's transformed his body (and life) because of Zumba... I want to be just like him! (And seriously... you should see this man shake his booty!  He could give Shakira lessons... for real!) 

And a huge thanks to my Zumba girls who make each class so much fun.  It's nice to feel part of a group and to look forward to seeing friends at each class.  You girls have been a huge motivation for me on the days I feel like I'd rather stay home and relax.  Knowing my absence will be noticed makes such a difference!


  1. I feel like it makes a huge difference if you're enjoying it and also when you have connections and people that you'd miss (and would miss you) if you skipped!
    I've never done Zumba before but from what you've said, sounds fun! :) Maybe, someday! :)
