Currently November

I forgot all about Currently yesterday, even though I sat around the house cooking and cleaning all day, but it seems I'm in good company. I've decided to link up with Farley today even though I already had a post scheduled for this morning.

Usually, my Currently responses are pretty self-explanatory, but I definitely need to add a few details this month:

Listening - Do any of you watch Shark Tank? I feel like it's taught me so much about the business world and making deals. I love hearing about all the new inventions and predicting whether or not they'll get a good deal from any of the sharks. Joel and I once spent DAYS searching for a product that we saw on the show just to be able to say we tried it! haha

Loving - I'm on dog duty right now as my parents visit San Francisco, and other than the annoyance of standing out in the cold until Wrigley finds the perfect spot to poop (Seriously, Dog, does it matter?), it's been really nice to have all this space to myself.

Thinking - In case you didn't see my earlier post today, I host a fun little linky every Thursday in November where we share the things we're thankful for each week. You can share one thing or twenty. My list is started... is yours??

Wanting - While I was super grateful not to have to stand outside in the frigid cold Friday night while children were trick-or-treating, I do kinda wish I had some kids so I could steal some of that chocolatey goodness. It's best for my health that I don't, I know. But I still want it!

Needing - I don't have ANYTHING on my calendar for work yet this week. I know the last-minute stuff always pops up, but the planner in me prefers to know ahead of time. I also feel like a jerk saying this, but I hope some of my coworkers get sick so I can work! haha

Reading - I "checked out" the audiobook Sharp Objects from my public library through OverDrive, but I didn't finish it before my two weeks ended. This means I have to go back on the waiting list (which will take MONTHS) before I can finish the story. There's the downside to borrowing versus buying through Audible. The good news is that I have a few audiobooks in Audible I've been wanting to read, including Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. Oh, the angsty teen novels. I can't stop reading them!

Happy November, friends! I hope you'll all be back on Thursday to link up for my Thankful Party!

  1. My husband and I love Shark Tank too! I did buy one of the things from the episode that had kid entrepreneurs. Good luck with securing some jobs for the week!

  2. We love Shark Tank here as well!! We get a kick out of the crazy products and love watching their selling speeches! It's always fun to see an advertisement later on, from a product we saw on there!

  4. Shark Tank is a great show! My husband's always saying we need to just come up with some great invention to get our kids' college paid for. ;) Good luck getting some work. I wish you could sub for me, since I feel a bit under the weather, but in my district, Reading Specialists don't get subs. Oh well. Happy November!
